Speaking of Kurzweil, I did manage to sell my Kurzweil Mark Pro 3i for $500,* as it went to a music teacher at a local High School, and, now the students will get to practice on it.

This should allow me to finish the layaway on the V-Piano a little sooner than expected, perhaps towards the end of the year.

Every penny counts as it takes an awful lot of 'em, no doubt!

As for the $500 I received, I am aware that I nearly gave the piano away as opposed to getting a better offer, although I already had been running the craigslist ad for a couple of months with no apparent interest. I bought the piano at $1,900 brand new, and, it was only 6 months old when I put it up for sale. I started with a $1,000 asking price, which I then lowered to $849 after a month, or so. My asking price was now well below half of the original purchase price, and, finally someone contacted me who was sincere about buying it. Had to negotiate a bit, and, I agreed on the final price as mentioned. Really had my doubts that anyone was going to even look, let alone buy. In the end at least there was a happy customer, and, the piano will go to very good use.

I see craigslist as more of a yardsale kind of selling scenario, for things you just want out of the house and maybe a little money for your trouble. The things I want to recoup the most value possible I put on Amazon or eBay.
